I don’t very often get pictures of myself sketching. It’s usually me on the end of the camera, so thank you Jennifer from Sydney Sketchclub. That’s Elaine from class there too. Jenny was somewhere nearby and Ethna wasn’t well so hope she sees this.
It’s so lovely that some of our class feel they can now go sketching with the best. Alissa was there - who came sketching toys with the class and shared her talents that day recently. I saw her sketches yesterday and they were wonderful. Liz will being wowing them at her International Symposium and posting fab sketches.
It’s a real mix of people who go but all passionate about fitting this into their lives. We go wherever the suggested location is and sketch anything you like. Lunch is often where those that can stay, chat with the others. Yesterday there were at least 20 Sketchers. A great group too.
Sadami asked Jenny to sit briefly, after lunch for a portrait. We were thrilled with the results, and so was she. Had to show you.
This week’s Sketchclub was part of the International Sketchcrawl. Apart from new Zealand, we in Australia are the first to see the sun, so our sketches happen while you chaps in the Northern hemisphere are still snoring.
Looking forward to seeing all the postings when everyone is awake.

The first sketch is beautiful, joyful and exuberant. Love the colours!
Thank you so much for your comment. I loved that big sunburst window and wanted to get the feel without too much detail.Glad you liked it.
It really is a striking piece. Funny thing is, we have a similar window in Manchester and I was just about to take a picture and post it on my blog…
