A rainy ol’ Sunday. What better thing to do than tootle off to the Blue Mts for a Sketching Getaway. Everyone arrived at Kurrajong Village on the dot of 10, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Sketching this week. Nov 15,16,17. This week seems to have a French flavour to it. Having had our very successful Sketch&French class on Tuesday somehow a little of that has carried on through the week…………… We had the white setting with croissant and gardenia on one table and the more contemporary blue setting with baguette on the other. Now it’s coming back to me. The most used building material here is wood. Beautiful homes and elegant buildings. All of wood. No termites to munch them up. Milton and I had coffee further along the main road at Dizzengoff Cafe. Right behind Milton’s head was the Polynesian Methodist Church, a lovely old building in wood. Friday August 3rd. Pages, Hibiscus and Trees
